Employment
Self-employed Software Developer, 01 November 2012- now

Software-Development preferred with the .NET framework for individual Software, especially in the areas like automatization, digitalization, database, data warehouse and business intelligence. But also, web development (Front and backend), E-Commerce automation with different API’s.

Postdoctoral Research Associate, 01 December 2010- 26 March 2011
Tokyo Institute of Technology, Chemical Resources Laboratory, Chemical Spectroscopy Divison

I am involved in the project (B-1006) “History analysis of over border SPM by advanced analyzers for single particle structures” funded by the “Environment Research & Technology Development Fund” from the Ministry of Environment, Government of Japan. My main work deals with investigation of detection limits of Pah’s in a time-of-flight mass spectrometer by applying different photoionization techniques (MPI, REMPI and SPI). For a JSPS Core-to-Core program on “Photoionization-induced switch in aromatic molecule-solvent recognition“ I am investigating clusters containing phenol by IR/UV spectroscopy.

Postdoctoral Research Associate, 16 June 2008-16 June 2010
University of Manchester, The Photon Science Institute and the Dalton Nuclear Institut

My work was is in the area of spectroscopic investigations of cluster and laser-desorbed biomolecules and the investigation of a novel way to produce an ultra-cold, strongly coupled molecular plasma. This work also involved the development of novel experimental setups and software for the control of the experiment and data acquisition and analysis.

Postdoctoral Research Associate, 01 October 2006- 31 May 2008
University of Kiel, Institute of Physical Chemistry

My work concentrated on the spectroscopic investigation of molecules and clusters as well as the development of different experimental methods for the investigation of samples with very low vapour pressures (e.g. biomolecules).

Scientific Employee, 01 April 2003-31 September 2006
University of  Kiel, Institute of Physical Chemistry
I supervised students in different practical courses of physical chemistry.(basic-advanced)

Assistant Scientific Employee, (2000-2002)
University of Kiel, Institute of Experimental and Applied Physics
Supervision of students in different practical courses of experimental and applied physics.

Education
Dr. rer. nat. (Ph. D.), 16. November 2006 (2003-2006)
University of Kiel, Institute of Physical Chemistry
Advisor: Prof. Dr. Juergen Grotemeyer
Thesis   :"Vibrational resolved examinations of azabenzenes by Mass-Analyzed-Threshold-Ionization spectroscopy”
Grade    : “summa cum laude”

The work included the optimization of an existing experimental setup for recording MATI spectra as well as the enhancement of the existing software (Borland C++) for the control of the experiment  and the data acquisition. With the improved setup, azabenzenes, which serve as model molecules for the verification of theoretical models like vibronic coupling, were investigated in the first electronically excited state as well as in the ionic ground state.

Diplomphysiker (equivalent to MSc), 07 October 2002 (2001-2002)
University of Kiel, Institute of Experimental and Applied Physics
Advisor: Prof. Dr. Volkmar Helbig
Thesis  : Investigation of the polarization characteristics of the emission light of a neon discharge
Grade : “good”

The polarization characteristic of the fluorescence light of a neon discharge was investigated. Therefore, a new experimental setup had to be built up as well as software for the data acquisition (Labview and Visual basic) had to be developed.

Industrial activities during Study

Student trainee at 4H-jena-engineering GmbH, 01 August 2000-29 September 2000
Principal duty was the software development for embedding a Multimedia Memory Card to an autonomous measuring device.
